10 Best Travelling Tips

You cannot plan each and everything and even if you do, there are always chances that some things may change at the end moment either intentionally or unintentionally.

These travel tips are not a must follow tips but before you are planning a trip either a solo trip, family trip or just a “TRAVELLER” traveler trip, you can go through these points once, so that the chances of missing out are few.

1.   Passport and Important Documents

Whenever you are travelling to a foreign land, always carry your passport and Visa with you. Also, keep digital copy in your phone/ mail and print outs in your other travelling bag(assuming you have multiple bags).

You never know, what you might need a passport for, e.g., your purse might get stolen or you might be asked for your identification.

2.  First Aid/ Medicines:

Always remember to keep a mini First Aid box and the medicines which you regularly require in your backpack. No matter, where you are travelling, a handy kit is a must.

3.   Something to Eat/ Drink

After Passports and Medicines, this is the most important point for me. Always, carry something to eat and drink in your backpack. It can be a small packet of biscuits or wafers or chocolates (considering a source of instant energy) and a small water bottle.

It doesn’t matter, you use them or not, but in case you are stuck somewhere and you have no/very less options in front of you, then you will be thankful to yourself for carrying this in your bag for emergency.

4.  Learn Common Phrases

Learning simple phrases like “Please”, “Thank you”, “What is the price of _?”, “Where is _?”,”Help” in the local language will help you a lot. It will also help in developing a good rapport with the place and people.

5.   Always be accepting and smiling

Don’t try to judge a country and its people by their culture, their tradition and their way of living.
Commenting and judging them will only spoil your travel experience.

Rather carry a smile on your face, interact with locals, and learn about their lifestyle, their traditions. It is a great fun and learning too!!

6.   Buy Travel Insurance

An emergency, may it be medical or accident can consume all your savings.
There is a saying, "Precaution is better than cure" and I find it to be so true!

7.    Don’t just click photographs! But Experience!

Yes, pictures are important, they are memories for lifetime. You should click a lot of photographs with the people you meet, of the places you visit.

But, above these pictures (unless this is your job), what is more important is experience. If you are on a beautiful location, and you have already clicked a lot of photographs, then just sit back and relax for a while!! Just admire the moment and the beauty of nature!! You will definitely feel positive from inside!!

8.   Don’t Panic

It is likely to miss a train, forget your purse at home, robbery, accident etc. Don’t Panic!! It happens and it happens with everyone. Just sit down for a moment, think what are the best possible options for you, interact with the locals, is there any friend living in that country, if needed, you can also ask the local police for help.

Everywhere, everyone is not bad. There are people who are good from heart and ready to help. You will surely find out some way!!

9.   Keep your items in different bags

If I am carrying multiple bags, then I make sure I have divided my stuff equally in both the bags.
Even if, one my bags gets missed (might happen in flight), I will not be stuck as I have kept some clothes, medicines and other stuff in my other bag as well.

10.   Always have few hundred extra cash

It is a Must! Must! Must! Money is a key to everything!
If you have calculated your expenditures beforehand and say, your budget goes around £5000, then you should at least have a saving of £1000 extra in your bank account and £200 extra in your wallet.

I am suggesting this, by my own experience, you never know, what will happen next! In all the situation, money is the only thing which will help you in the worst situation.

Capri - An island in Italy

Capri, a beautiful island on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. Once Emperor Augustus' Private resort and now a lovely vacation spot for the tourist. If you are in Italy then you must definitely visit this island, for a relaxing and amazing experience. I was here for about 2 days and loved every single moment of it. I wish I would have spent a little more time, anyways this place has given me a lot of reasons to visit again. How to get there? Capri can be reached by number of ports around the island. You can catch a ferry from Naples, Sorrento and Positano. We caught slow ferry from Naples, which took us almost 1 hr 20 min to reach Capri and costed around €17. You can also catch high speed ferries which takes 50 min from Naples to Capri and costs a little extra. What to see in Capri? Being a little pretty island, Capri has a lot to offer you than you can ever imagine.  Blue Grotto A trip to Capri is always incomplete, if you have not visited Blue Grotto....
